Board of Directors
Joined 1 June 2024 and is appointed for one year as an associate director.
Jonathon Hoets has been farming for more than 16 years, both in the Mid-Canterbury and Oamaru areas. Currently, Jonathon and his wife Stacey have two young daughters and are equity partners in a 790-cow farm in mid-Canterbury for the Rylib Group.
He is involved with the SIDE Governance Group and organising committee, and NZDIA committee, is an associate director of MHV, while actively contributing to his community through volunteering with his local rural fire brigade.
Jonathon is the fourteenth associate director on DairyNZ’s Board, since the initiative was introduced in 2013.
The responsibility of the Board is to oversee DairyNZ’s strategic goals and make key decisions on how best to respond to the risks and opportunities impacting our farmers and sector.
Dairy farming is becoming more complex, which means we need to prioritise what we do, and how we do it, to achieve positive progress and make a greater impact.
All farmers who supply milk to a dairy company pay a levy. Your levy is invested in a wide range of programmes that progress a positive future for New Zealand dairy farming.
